A Bristow helicopter carrying 11 passengers and 2 crew members crashed into the Atlantic Ocean as it approached Nigeria’s famous International Airport – MMA. Thankfully all 13 members were rescued following a distress call to the Nigerian Navy. The chopper later sank into the ocean.
This will be the second chopper crash for Bristow, a company which prides itself in being “the world’s largest commercial helicopter training service provider…and the only helicopter flight school approved to provide helicopter flight training to Commercial Pilot level both by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the European Joint Aviation Authority”, had another chopper crash back in August 2015.
